Volunteer Opportunities
Internet Task Force, The Mars Society

Please visit our list of Current Projects and contact webmaster@marssociety.org with your notification of interest.  We can use people of all skill sets for testing of our projects.

Immediate Needs:

• Light HTML / CSS tasks – we always need help with small tasks for maintaining the Mars Society websites.

• Content writers/editors – we need help writing and reviewing documents for MDRS and the Mars Society.

• Familiarity with WordPress – Most of our newer websites are using this excellent web content software.

• Graphic Design / Interactive Design – we always need help with cutting web graphics for the homepage, as well as designing new print brochures and flyers for the Mars Society and chapters.

Long-term Needs:

• WordPress & custom theme development – we have standardized on this package for our websites including our main website and its Members Area

• C++/C# programmers – we need at least one senior experienced C++ programmer that can help us contribute to open source projects such as simulations.  Knowledge of optimizing for modern lightweight clients is desirable

• PHP programmers – we need folks who can create custom modules.  MySQL experience also desirable.
